Amboseli Sopa Safari Lodge
Amboseli Sopa Safari lodge is in 190 acres
of wooded Masai land on the foot hills of Africa’s
highest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro. Mature wooded
gardens with a variety of trees and plants, from
thorn trees and acacias, to fragrant frangipanis,
colourful bougainvillea and giant cactus plants
thrive in these surroundings.
Amboseli Sopa Safari lodge is located 250 kms from
Nairobi, approximately 4 hours drive on tarmac and
murram all weather road.
Accommodation at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge is set
out in 83 rooms, some of which can be turned into
triple rooms and have adjoining doors – ideal for
families on safari.
Dining at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge takes place in
the Kibo Restaurant, named after Mount Kilimanjaro's
tallest peak. It is a delightful round construction
with an authentic thatched roof. There is a central
fireplace, which is a lovely place to sit and enjoy
the view of the mountain right out the window. The
colour scheme is red, mustard and brown, lending the
place a warm, bush-like ambience.
